About Me
Hey there! My name is Jude Abu-Farha, and I've always carried a passion for design. This passion led me to earn a Bachelor of Information Technology in Interactive Multimedia and Design from Carleton University in April 2022 with High Distinction. Throughout my academic path, I delved deep into the realms of User Interface and Web Development, gaining valuable insights into both the creative and technical aspects of this field.
One of the highlights of my academic journey was my graduation project, where I specialized in UI/UX design and development. I took on the role of a UI designer, creating wireframes and mockups, and I also led the front-end development of the application, which was built entirely in React.
While at Carleton, I gained hands-on experience through a CO-OP placement at Ericsson as a front-end developer, focusing on React. Afterward, I worked as a software developer at CRA. Now, I'm a System Engineer at LCE (Leonardo Canada Electronics), working closely with a UI consultant to create seamless System and UI/UX designs for the TEPA application.
I am proficient in various design applications, including Figma and Adobe XD, and well-versed in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Additionally, I've also ventured into 3D modeling and texturing with Autodesk Maya, and dabbled in rigging and animation.
In terms of development, I have strong expertise in key web development tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. I've also become proficient in high-level programming languages such as C/C++, Java, and Python.
